Area Police
Around fifty vehicles have been covered with what appears to be blood from a person in the German town of Hanau close to Frankfurt, according to law enforcement.
Vehicles, exterior walls and postboxes were marked, occasionally with swastikas, they stated in a release.
Law enforcement say they were alerted during the night on Wednesday, when a individual noticed that a vehicle in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been marked with a reddish fluid.
The substance had been drawn in the shape of a Nazi symbol, they stated.
Police then found numerous other marked cars and house walls in the nearby vicinity.
Swastikas are banned in Germany under regulations banning the public exhibition of Nazi symbols.
Police state early analysis indicate the liquid was most likely human bodily fluid.
"Currently there is no clue as to its origin; investigators are not yet aware of any injuries in connection with the event," they stated.
Local authorities announced they were working "to unravel the mystery" and have requested to the public for details.
An important representative stated the vandalism made him stunned and had to be addressed quickly.
"This event affects the core of Hanau and revives the pain of the far-right attack in 2020," he posted on online, recalling the murder of nine victims by a shooter focusing on individuals of immigrant origin in 2020.
